Celebrity Chef Cooking School and The Legacy Gala Events Announced

KERRVILLE - - Peterson Regional Medical Center Foundation announces plans to host its 2009 signature event. This year, the signature event will be comprised of a Celebrity Chef Cooking School and The Legacy Gala scheduled for November 12-14, 2009, at the Inn of the Hill Resort and Conference Center.

 

The Celebrity Chef Cooking School and Legacy Gala will be a celebration of 60 years of providing quality health care to residents of the Hill Country, first under the name Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital and now Peterson Regional Medical Center. 

 

Headlining this year’s signature events will be Celebrity Chef Tim Love, often called “the unofficial mayor of Fort Worth, Texas.”  Chef Love is a nationally recognized culinary personality, known as much for his freewheeling personality as for his signature urban-western cuisine. Chef Love will be showing his culinary expertise at both the Cooking School and the Legacy Gala dinner.

 

Chef Love will host a Texas-style Cooking School on Thursday, November 12th, at the Inn of the Hills. Cooking School Tickets are $75 each and with attendance limited to 250 people, they are expected to go quickly.

 

The multi-course Legacy Gala dinner and dance will be Saturday, November 14th, also at the Inn of the Hills. Major sponsorship opportunities for The Legacy Gala are available ($5,000, $10,000, $15,000 and $25,000) which include premium seating at reserved tables and more.  Individual Legacy Gala tickets prices begin at $125. The Legacy Gala reservations will be limited. 

 

Past signature events hosted by the Peterson Regional Medical Center Foundation have raised over $350,000 in net proceeds. These proceeds have been instrumental in supporting the growth and development of palliative care, women’s services, rehabilitation services and the new Peterson Regional Medical Center facility.  This year proceeds will further the mission of the Peterson Regional Ambulatory Center (ACC), providing outpatient Imaging Services, Rehabilitation Services and Surgical Services to those in our communities.  The ACC has been providing services to our family, friends and neighbors since opening in 2000.

 

More than 60 community leaders and volunteers are responsible for helping create this year’s signature event and organizing the festivities. Special thanks to the leadership of Honorary Chairpersons Estela & James Avery, Kim & Dr. Girardo Chica, II, Toni and Dr. William Morris, and Rosemary & Louis Romero.  Serving as Cooking School Chair is Denise Henneke while the Gala chairs are Laurie and Jason Blewett.
